Kristie and Taylor’s stunning spring wedding was featured on Ruffled! I have the best time planning this wedding with one of the absolute sweetest couples around. Right away, Kristie and I clicked and I was OBSESSED with her vision for the design of her wedding. I loved getting to work with all of the fun shades of pink, and incorporate so many perosnalized details for this couple.
Because of the pandemic, we had to pivot last minute and change venues. At the time, it seemed super stressful, but it could not have worked out any better because… hello! beautiful!

“Kristie and Taylor’s backyard wedding is resplendent in Southern wedding traditions that’ll leave you tickled pink. Only fitting for their vibrant summery color palette! The images from Lindley Battle Photography perfectly encapsulate the emotions of the day – sweet, playful and infectiously joyous. The elegant, quintessentially Southern designs from Carly Marie Events stopped us in our tracks, with ginger jar centerpieces, monogrammed ribbons, s’more wedding favors and watercolor drink signage! Complemented by the layered hot pink blooms from Green Bee Floral Design, K+T’s wedding is the ultimate chic take on a summer soiree!
From the Photographer, Lindley Battle Photography: Modern chic meets classic Southern with this gorgeous pink-themed wedding! Kristie and Taylor planned the perfect early summer soiree, picking the historic Holt House venue to host their friends and family and celebration their marriage. Kristie and Taylor met almost as soon as Kristie moved to North Carolina, and got engaged during a romantic weekend at Smith Mountain Lake in 2020. Despite having to plan a wedding during COVID, they set out to create an event that was filled with classic Southern elegance and that truly reflected who they were as a couple. Between the planning mastery of Carly Marie Events and the floral genius of Green Bee Floral Designs, the historic Holt House was transformed to host an absolutely magical wedding day. With plenty of pink (the bride’s favorite color) woven through the floral designs and the details of the day, and classic Southern traditions woven throughout the day such as the burying of the bourbon and Taylor’s bowtie, the couple truly managed to create a day that perfectly reflected their personalities!“
