After all most three years of planning, Megan and Kyle finally tied the knot in September of 2021 at the beautiful Cadillac Service Garage in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina!
I met with Megan and Kyle way back in the fall of 2018 to start the planning for their wedding. Megan knew she wanted a big wedding, with stunning details in a large industrial space – so Cadillac Service Garage was the perfect choice for them. After a site tour, she fell in love, so having to wait for spring of 2020 was no big deal. A longer engagement would give us plenty of time to get all of the details perfectly planned. After all, Megan and Kyle had been waiting long enough to begin with, in fact their journey started in PRESCHOOL! Thats right, these two have known each other since preschool!
We all know what happened in spring of 2020, which caused us to have to postpone Megan and Kyle’s wedding not once, but twice, sending three rounds of save the dates, two rounds of invitations, and re-doing the design vision to switch from an early spring to an early fall feel. But in the end, it was all worth it because these two had the most stunning day filled with SO much love.
One of my favorite moments happened when the couple exchanged gifts before the ceremony. They got each other almost exactly the same gift, framed lyrics to their first dance song. If thats not a sign of a couple made for each other, I don’t know what is. I also absolutely loved the unity candle ceremony during their wedding ceremony. Each guest was given a candle to hold and once they were lit, “passed” the light up to the front of the ceremony for Megan and Kyle’s mom to then light their candles before the couple lit theirs together. It was a beautiful way to incorporate all of their friends and family in the ceremony.
Some of my favorite design details were the custom wax seals the were used on both the seating chart cards, as well as the menu cards at each place setting. If you know me, you know I love a wax seal! I also loved the industrial style metal table number frames that we had custom colored in black to match the color scheme of the table top decor as well as the industrial feel of the venue.
